georgina-in-studioGeorgina F. Lohan is a multidisciplinary artist working in jewelry design, ceramics, sculpture and painting. Her work has developed through extensive exploration and experimentation with materials. It references many cultures, traditions and motifs.

As well as painting in watercolour, tempera, acrylics and oil, Georgina has a background in printmaking, carving, casting, fused glass, textiles, set and costume design for theatre, and has worked for productions such as the Judith Marcuse Dance Repertory of Canada.

She has contributed to the development of creative projects including the Eastside Culture Crawl as a founding director, and the AT8 Artropolis Society on the Exhibition Steering Committee. She has coordinated several exhibitions and events including, Anything Goes Art Auction/Fend Players Society, and The Surrey Art Gallery’s 25th Anniversary Celebrations. Georgina founded and directed MIA Gallery, a fine art and furniture design gallery, and curated several exhibitions there.

Georgina established her first ceramics studio in 2007. In 2016 she relocated to larger premises at 1161 Parker Street, Vancouver BC as Georgina Lohan Studio Arts. With a showroom open to the public and room to host workshops as well as production space, this space has the versatility to encourage ambitious projects, host special events, studio tours and more. Georgina is currently focused on developing her sculpture for exhibition.

Georgina is based in Vancouver, BC, and has exhibited in Canada, Mexico, and the USA.
